Saiful: I have sworn three times on sodomy case, Anwar not once

PORT DICKSON: Port Dickson independent candidate Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan has maintained that his sodomy testimony against his former boss, and current election opponent, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was nothing but the truth.
He pointed out that he had on three previous occasions sworn that the sodomy incident in 2008 had taken place, but that the PKR president-elect had not once done so.
"I have lodged a police report on the matter, and sworn three times, one at the Federal Territory Mosque, one in Makkah and once in court. But Anwar has not once sworn against it.
"It is true the sodomy case took place," he said during a ceramah kelompok with residents of Kampung Teluk Pelanduk, here, on Saturday night.
This was in response to a question by one of the guests on whether his claims against Anwar were the absolute truth.
Anwar was sentenced to five-year jail term for sodomising Mohd Saiful at a Desa Damansara condominium unit in Bukit Damansara, Kuala Lumpur, on June 26, 2008.
Saiful also said one of the reasons for him to contest in the Port Dickson by-election was to stop Anwar from further destroying the country.
On Anwar's recent royal pardon by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Muhammad V, he cynically noted that it was normal for those who had sinned to seek for forgiveness.
"He (Anwar) is set to become the next prime minister. It required of me to stop someone who can be harmful to the country to come into power.
"On Oct 13 (polling day), when he enters the government (should he win), he will be fighting to be the Prime Minister," he added.
