Ever used your phone’s flashlight to find your “phone”? Netizens share their hilarious story on forgetfulness

From searching for a phone with the phone itself to misplacing children, netizens reveal their funniest forgetful moments

FORGETFULNESS can be hilarious, especially when you search for things you already have.

In a Threads post, Israq Asri shared that he spent 15 minutes looking for his phone in a parked car, using the same phone’s flashlight to find the device that he thought was missing, but in fact he was holding in his hand

He added that this was the second time it had happened this year and joked that it must be “an age thing”.

Amused by the post, netizens shared their own hilarious stories of forgetfulness.

Norien recounted an incident when her husband was pushing the baby’s stroller while she was carrying their baby.

When she asked, “Where’s our child?” he pointed to the stroller, and she replied, “There’s no one inside.”

“Both of us panicked and started looking for the baby. After a while, my husband finally realised I was holding the baby the whole time. Then he said, ‘Isn’t the baby you’re holding our child?’” she said.

Maziah Ahmad shared another funny moment at SuperPark, an indoor activity centre in Kuala Lumpur, where she suddenly panicked about her daughter and kept asking, “Where’s Kakak? Where’s Kakak?”

“But the person I was asking was Kakak — she was right in front of me. She must have been confused, wondering what was wrong with her mum.

“My heart nearly dropped from the fear of losing her, but she was literally right there. I mean, yes, I’m short-sighted, but she was right in front of my eyes — what on earth was I even looking for?” she recalled.
