Malaysian Pokémon collector from Penang offers rare card stash for RM4.4 million

A Penang collector is offering his Pokémon card collection for RM4.4 million — and is even open to swapping it for cash plus a Mercedes-AMG GTS.

A Malaysian Pokémon card collector has listed part of his personal collection for sale at RM4,444,444 (approximately S$1.4 million), according to Singaporean news outlet MS News.

The collector, Damiral Imran from Penang, previously made headlines after selling a complete Pokémon card collection for RM1.87 million last year.

In a Facebook post published on May 1, Damiral announced that he is now putting another collection up for sale after spending six months building it.

According to him, the collection currently carries an estimated market value of between RM4.68 million and RM4.75 million.

However, he said he is willing to let it go for RM4,444,444.

Damiral also stated that he would consider a trade involving RM3.8 million in cash together with a Mercedes-AMG GTS.

He further offered a commission of RM80,000 to anyone who successfully secures a buyer for the collection.

The transaction, he added, will be conducted on a cash-on-delivery basis in Kuala Lumpur.

Previously, Sin Chew Daily reported that Damiral sold a complete Pokémon card collection reportedly valued at more than RM2 million for RM1.87 million last year.

The collection was said to have been sold at the asking price within 10 days of the announcement.

At the time, he had also offered an alternative deal involving RM1 million in cash together with a Porsche 911 Carrera 4S.

However, the buyer eventually completed the purchase with a full cash payment of RM1.87 million.
