MALAYSIANS have recently been beaming with pride following the nation’s tourism campaign promotion in Japan.
A viral post on Threads showed the Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026) logo displayed on a train at Kansai International Airport in Osaka.

In 2025, Malaysia received 42.2 million visitors, marking an 11.2% increase compared with 2024 and a 20.4% rise from pre-pandemic levels in 2019.
Netizens have expressed national pride upon seeing the country’s tourism campaign promoted across Japan, sharing their appreciation for the government’s efforts to boost tourist arrivals.
“To be frank, I feel proud seeing the ‘Visit Malaysia’ banner in foreign countries,” one user shared.
“The government has gone all out this year. The logo is everywhere overseas,” another observed.
