“That’s a slug eww,” a netizen commented, while another joked, “Special menu of the day escargot.”
WHAT was supposed to be a healthy meal quickly turned a nightmare for a Malaysian diner after he allegedly discovered a live slug in his salad.
In a post on Threads, the customer explained said he was finishing his meal when he noticed something unusual in his final bite.
“I was eating peacefully, only had one last bite left. Then suddenly I saw a snail moving on the salad,” he wrote.
The discovery immediately put him off his food.

“It wasn’t dead — it was literally moving,” he added, questioning who should be responsible for such an incident.
He shared that the meal was at a popular furniture store in Johor Bahru.
Photos shared online appear to show what appears to be a small slug on a piece of lettuce, sparking reactions from netizens.
“That’s a slug eww,” one user commented, while another joked, “Special menu of the day escargot.”
Others pointed out the potential risk if it had gone unnoticed.
“If you didn’t realise, you might have chewed it as a side dish,” one said.
