A Malaysian vendor was left starstruck after meeting legendary fashion designer Jimmy Choo at Publika.
In a now-viral post, the seller, Aqiela Izzaty, said she was shaking with excitement after the famous figure visited her booth at Publika.
“OMG, today Jackie Chan came to the Cintaqiela Cookies booth at Publika,” she joked.
“I swear I was trembling. The most famous person came to my booth and even gave me a Chinese New Year ang pow.”
In her post, she attached an image of the ang pow which contained a RM50 note and a RM20 note.
Her post quickly went viral, with users pointing out that the man in the photo was actually Jimmy Choo — the world-renowned Malaysian designer behind the luxury fashion brand.
“Um sis, that’s not Jackie Chan. That’s Jimmy Choo, a famous designer for shoes and bags,” one commenter wrote jokingly.
Another user reacted in disbelief, saying: “THE JIMMY CHOO????!!!!!! omg.”
However, Aqiela later admitted that she already knew it was Jimmy Choo but decided to say she had met Jackie Chan as part of a playful trend on social media.
“Yes sis, everyone knows, but lately this kind of post has become a trend,” she explained.
