Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil is among 98 individuals conferred state awards by the Sultan of Selangor at an investiture ceremony
KLANG: Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil was conferred the Darjah Kebesaran Dato’ Paduka Mahkota Selangor (D.P.M.S.) award today.
The award, which carries the title ‘Datuk’, was presented in conjunction with the 80th birthday of the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah.
Fahmi was among 98 individuals honoured with state awards and medals at the investiture ceremony held at the Balairung Seri, Istana Alam Shah.
Also receiving the D.P.M.S. award was Selangor Rural Development, Unity and Consumer Affairs Committee chairman Datuk Rizam Ismail.
A total of 16 recipients were conferred the D.P.M.S. award, which carries the title ‘Datuk’ for men and ‘Datin Paduka’ for women, at the ceremony.
Sultan Sharafuddin graced the ceremony earlier, which saw 98 individuals receiving state awards, honours and medals.
Tengku Permaisuri Selangor Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin and Raja Muda Selangor Tengku Amir Shah also attended.
Tengku Amir Shah’s consort, Datin Paduka Seri Afzaa Fadini Abdul Aziz, was also present at the ceremony.
Sultan Sharafuddin’s daughter, Tengku Zerafina, headed the list of 98 recipients of Selangor state honours. – Bernama
