Kulim Smart Care app allows residents to report issues via photos, with complaints routed to relevant agencies for swift action and transparent tracking
KULIM: The Kulim Smart Care (KSC) system has been launched to streamline public complaints and enable faster, more transparent responses.
Kulim Municipal Council (MPKK) President Datuk Elmi Yusoff said the smart platform allows for efficient monitoring of actions taken on reported issues.
Residents can download the free KSC application on their smartphones to submit reports.
To lodge a complaint, users simply need to take a photo of an issue, such as a damaged road or faulty streetlight, and submit it through the app.
The system is user-friendly and can detect the location even if the street name is not specified by the complainant.
“Complainant information will be kept confidential,” said Elmi after launching the KSC and the MPKK Silver Jubilee 2026 logo at a supermarket here.
He added that complaints are not limited to matters under MPKK’s jurisdiction but cover all agencies in the district.
Every complaint received will be forwarded directly to the relevant agency for action.
Elmi also welcomed participation from other government agencies and departments to cooperate with MPKK in further developing the system for mutual benefit.
At the same event, he launched the logo for the MPKK Silver Jubilee celebrations in 2026.
“This year marks 25 years of MPKK’s management, a historic moment for MPKK staff and all residents of this district,” he said.
He also presented prizes to winners of the MPKK Silver Jubilee Official Logo Design Competition, themed “Kulim Pioneers Progress, Leading Kedah’s Future”.
