UPUOnline applications for IPTA, MARA BPT open from Jan 29

UPUOnline applications for 2026/2027 intake to IPTA, MARA BPT, polytechnics and community colleges open in two phases from Jan 29

PUTRAJAYA: Applications for the 2026/2027 academic session intake into certificate, foundation, diploma and bachelor’s degree programmes via UPUOnline will open from Jan 29.

The Ministry of Higher Education (KPT) said the first application phase runs until March 23, 2026, with a second phase from April 13 to May 15, 2026.

Applications are open for entry into 20 public universities (UA), 36 polytechnics, 106 community colleges (KK) and two MARA Higher Education Division (MARA BPT) institutions.

The first phase is open to Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) and Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) leavers or equivalents for all programmes.

The second phase is only for programmes without interviews or tests.

“All eligible candidates are invited to seize this opportunity to further their studies at the higher education level,” KPT said in a statement.

A total of 363 programmes are offered for SPM leavers and 1,146 programmes for STPM leavers or equivalents by institutions nationwide.

Applicants must purchase an UPUOnline PIN number for RM10.60 via Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) from Jan 28.

Payment can be made at 387 BSN branches, 843 BSN ATMs, or through myBSN internet banking.

“BSN will issue the PIN number along with a copy of the payment receipt,” the statement added.

Applicants are advised to keep the payment slip as valid proof of purchase.
