Sabah’s Head of State has declared November 29, 2025, a public holiday for the state election, with 1.76 million voters eligible to cast ballots.
KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah government has declared this Saturday, November 29, as an additional public holiday for the 17th State Election.
According to a Government Gazette issued today, the declaration was made under Section 9 of the Holidays Ordinance Chapter 56.
“In exercising the powers conferred by Section 9 of the Holidays Ordinance, the Head of State has designated Nov 29, 2025 (Saturday) as a Public Holiday in addition to the days specified in the First Schedule of the Ordinance,” stated the Gazette.
A total of 1.76 million voters will cast their ballots in the 17th Sabah State Election.
Contests will take place across all 73 state seats.
