Tengku Permaisuri Selangor opens Arshad Ayub Forum on inclusive economy and Bumiputera equity, featuring top economic experts as panelists.
SHAH ALAM: Tengku Permaisuri Selangor Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin graced the opening of the inaugural Arshad Ayub Forum at Pustaka Raja Tun Uda here today.
Her Highness arrived at the venue at 3 pm and was welcomed by Alumni Federation of the Universiti Teknologi Mara president Saiful Azhar Shaharun.
Also present was the wife of the late Tun Arshad Ayub, Toh Puan Zaleha Mohd Arshad.
Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin attended the forum featuring prominent economic figures as panelists.
The panel included former Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed, Khazanah Research Institute Research Director Dr Suraya Ismail, and Bank Muamalat Chief Economist Dr Mohd Afzanizam Abdul Rashid.
The forum was titled Inclusive Economy: Empowering Bumiputera Equity.
Prudential Assurance Malaysia Director of Government Affairs Meor Hafizan Abdul Ghani moderated the discussion.
Bernama served as the official media partner for the inaugural event.
Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin later presented souvenirs to the panelists, moderator, and Bernama’s Head of Strategic Planning Harlina Samson.
Saiful Azhar said the forum’s timing reflected the need to equip the current generation with proper economic agendas and strategies.
He stated the Arshad Ayub Forum complements government efforts under the Bumiputera Economic Transformation Plan 2035.
The forum highlighted key economic and equity issues shaped by educational efforts with expert insights.
The second series of the forum is expected to be held in the second quarter of next year.
