Thunderstorm warning for five states and KL until 5pm

The Malaysian Meteorological Department warns of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds for five states and Kuala Lumpur until 5 pm today.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department has issued a thunderstorm, heavy rain and strong winds warning for five states and Kuala Lumpur until 5 pm today.

The department in a statement said the affected areas in Pahang are Bentong and Bera, while in Selangor the warning covers Hulu Selangor, Gombak, Petaling and Hulu Langat.

Similar weather conditions are also expected in Jelebu, Kuala Pilah and Jempol in Negeri Sembilan, as well as in Sri Aman, Sarikei, Meradong, Kanowit, Mukah and Song in Sarawak.

In Sabah, the affected areas are in Ranau, Kunak, Lahad Datu, Telupid, Kinabatangan, Beluran, Sandakan, Kota Marudu and Pitas.
