KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department has issued a thunderstorm warning for several areas in Terengganu, Sarawak, Sabah and Labuan until 7pm today. MetMalaysia forecasts thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds across the affected regions. In Terengganu, the warning covers Marang, Dungun and Kemaman districts. Sarawak’s affected areas include Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Kapit, Song and Bukit Mabong. The forecast for Sabah applies to interior areas of Sipitang, Kuala Penyu, Beaufort and Tawau. The public is advised to remain vigilant for potential flash floods caused by heavy rainfall and strong winds. – Bernama
