National swimming coach Eric Anderson leaves MAS after SEA Games 2025 cycle, with interim arrangements in place for athletes.

MALAYSIA Aquatics (MAS) and national head coach Eric Anderson have mutually agreed to part ways.

“MAS would like to express its sincere appreciation and gratitude to Eric for his contributions and service to Malaysian aquatics, and wishes him every success in his future endeavours,” the statement said.

Interim programme arrangements have been implemented to ensure continuity, stability and athlete welfare.

Further updates regarding the national swimming programme will be communicated in due course.

MAS reiterated its commitment to supporting athletes and strengthening the high-performance programme for upcoming international competitions.

At the 2025 SEA Games, the national swimming team won two gold, three silver and five bronze medals.

This improved upon the haul of one gold, three silver and four bronze medals from the 2023 edition in Cambodia.

Anderson was appointed as national head coach in January last year. – Bernama
