Malaysia enters final preparations for Chelsea FC vs JDT friendly at Sultan Ibrahim Stadium, with tickets starting at RM154.
MALAYSIA is now entering the final phase of preparations to host a prestigious international football match between English Premier League giants Chelsea FC and Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium on August 9.
TEG Sport managing director Rachael Carroll said the organisers’ main focus over the next few weeks is to ensure that every aspect of the match operations, broadcast and fan experience meet the highest international standards.
“A world-class international football event is defined by all the preparations that are made long before kick-off.
“We look forward to welcoming fans from Malaysia and across the region to the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium to witness what is expected to be a truly meaningful match,” she said in a statement.
The statement also informed that the match will be the best field for JDT to test their capabilities against elite European clubs for domestic and Asian competitions while for Chelsea FC, it is a platform to reach out to their staunch fans in Asia.
According to the statement, demand for match tickets has been very encouraging since sales opened with attendance expected to surge from Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and other neighbouring countries.
There are four main categories of tickets on offer, namely Category A priced at RM654, Category B (RM454), Category C (RM254) and Category D (RM154), while VIP passes are priced at RM1,254.
