MALAYSIAN badminton star Tan Wee Kiong has dismissed speculation about reuniting with his Rio 2016 Olympic silver medal partner Goh V Shem.
The 36-year-old remains fully committed to his current partnership with Nur Mohd Azriyn Ayub.
Speculation about a potential reunion emerged after both Wee Kiong and V Shem signed with homegrown badminton brand FELET.
“At the moment, there’s no plan for that,” Wee Kiong said in a statement today.
“Although we’re both under FELET now, my partnership with Azriyn has been going very smoothly.”
He expressed gratitude for the sponsor’s trust and support.
The pair will continue working hard for better results in upcoming tournaments.
Wee Kiong and V Shem claimed silver at the Rio 2016 Olympics after losing to China’s Fu Haifeng and Zhang Nan.
