A locally produced animation short film titled Kring! by Brainy Bones Studios has been awarded Best Animated Film for Kids in the ReAnima International Animated Film Festival 2020 in Bergen, Norway.
The seven-minute short film directed by Hilmi Ismail tells the story about a teacher named Suraya who plays a guiding role in assisting Mael, a student with dyslexia.
Suraya is worried when Mael keeps failing in class. However, Suraya later realizes that Mael learns differently after seeing Mael’s drawings.
Prior to this award win, Kring! also won Best Animated Film in the International Film Festival on Disabilities 2020 in Lyon, France.
Kring! was also chosen as the Official Selection at Festival Internacional de Cine de Lebu in Chile, Mi Primer Festival in Lima, Peru and 5th Animation Marathon 2019 in Athens, Greece.
