GOOD news for all DC fans – WOW Event Asia has just launched its exclusive The World of DC Exhibition at Tropicana Gardens Mall, Petaling Jaya, which features movie props, concept art, costumes, life-size exhibits, and various interactive elements, as well as exclusive merchandise celebrating iconic DC Super Heroes such as Superman, Batman, and Super-Villains Harley Quinn and Joker.
The World of DC Exhibition, which is set to run until April 1, will be the first ever in Asia, with copyright from Warner Bros Discovery Global Themed Entertainment via Beast Kingdom Co Ltd.
The grand launch was officiated by Selangor Menteri Besar Yang Amat Berhormat Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, Beast Kingdom General Manager of South East Asia Yee Shiuh Lam, Tropicana Group Managing Director Dion Tan, WOW Event Asia Directors Mary Koh and Wong Jyb Sheng, as well as Andrew Ashvin, Managing Director of Tropicana Gardens Mall.
Amirudin said the significance of Selangor hosting events like these is in line with the state’s goal to become a preferred destination within the ASEAN region.
“Events like this have the pull factor for the tourism industry as well as the potential to drive economic growth, retail expansion, and community engagement across all ages and backgrounds. We hope to see domestic and international tourist arrivals continue to rise as a pillar of the state’s economy,” said Amirudin, speaking at the event’s grand launch at the Tropicana Gardens Mall Convention Centre.
At the same time, WOW Event Asia director Mary Koh said: “Riding on the global success of DC cinematic blockbusters such as Batman, Aquaman, Man of Steel, and Wonder Woman, we have put together The World of DC Exhibition, bringing together these characters to life.”
The World of DC Exhibition features seven themed zones focusing on specific characters and themes. These range from the Dawn of Justice, featuring Superman and Batman, to the Rise of Super-Villains, highlighting the Birds of Prey and Suicide Squad, as well as a retail merchandise area.
The themed zones include fan-favorite vehicles, gadgets, and more from the DC Universe, including Superman’s emblematic blue and red suit, Batman’s Batmobile, Knight Crawler, Bat-Signal, and Wonder Woman’s costumes.
Along the way, visitors can experience the excitement of wielding superpowers through interactive showcases such as Wonder Woman’s Training Field, Aquaman’s Aquarium, and more.
In addition, a vibrant array of Instagram hotspots abound, including Suicide Squad’s Graffiti Wall and photo opportunities with the Lasso of Truth and El Diablo.
