THE holy month of Ramadan is a time for devotion, self-reflection and heavenly blessings. It is also a time when we gather with family and friends to break the daily fast together, sharing in the camaraderie and sense of community.

During this season, many people prefer to break their fast with traditional flavours, seeking comfort in the experience. This year, Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur aims to satisfy with a buffet dinner specially curated for city dwellers, giving them a taste of familiar kampung delights.

The Citarasa Selera Bandar menu highlights over 100 dishes, which will be served at the buffet which begins from March 25-April 19, 2023.

At the buffet venue located at the Bronx Room on Level 14, guests can treat themselves to a hearty spread of traditional dishes which include Kambing Kuzi, Lobster Sambal Petai and Lidah Lembu Masak Merah.

The buffet also features bazaar stalls which serve specialty dishes made by executive sous chef Tony Tang. These range from Special Kari Kepala Ikan to Roasted Whole Lamb, which are sure to tempt your tastebuds.

There are also stalls which offer a whole host of choices, including a soup stall serving a variety of soups, and a Gulai Kawah stall serving Ekor Assam Pedas. There is also a stall specialising in charcoal-grilled items like lemang and satay.

Guests will also be treated to a welcoming drink, Titisan Ramadan, which is a beautiful concoction of Rose Water, Passionfruit, Basil Seeds and Boba (tapioca pearls). The buffet also serves amazing desserts that include local delights including Onde-Onde, Kek Lapis, Pengat Nangka and many more, as well as fresh cut fruits, a chocolate fountain, and a selection of ice-creams.

Making the experience that much sweeter will be a live keroncong performance by local acoustic band Bintang Timur Akustik, whose lilting traditional melodies will set the tone for the entire evening.

The promotion is available for dine-in at RM168 nett per adult and RM88 nett per child. Enjoy early bird promotional rates of RM128 per adult and RM68 per child for bookings made before March 20, 2023.

For those looking to take-away, Berjaya Times Square Hotel is also reintroducing the Citarasa Sekeluarga (dinner set for a family of five) and Biryani Cubarasa promotions, this time with new dishes and combos.

The Citarasa Sekeluarga promotion will be filled with notable Malay favourites and serve five to six people. Priced at RM458 nett, it can be ordered from March 23-April 21, 2023 from 3pm-6pm.

For the Biryani Cubarasa promotion, guests can indulge in a set menu from RM15 per set per person consisting of Biryani rice, side dishes and a bottle of mineral water, if they order it between 5pm-7pm from March 23-April 21, 2023.

The price drops to RM12 when ordering between 7.01pm to 7.20pm, making it a deal not to be missed.
