SHOPPERS were trapped at the Ikea Cheras shopping centre in Cheras for hours after its basement carpark was flooded on Sunday evening.
Ikea Malaysia said construction beyond its property impacted its drainage system and caused the flooding.
The Fire and Rescue Department received an emergency call on the incident at 6.45pm and five personnel in one fire engine were dispatched to the scene.
The water was pumped out several hours later.
