WHO doesn’t love a good sale? After all, the very thought of your favourite items at a cheaper price is enough to make one giddy. But just how far would you go for a sale?
One woman in China paid a hefty price due to her being engrossed in her phone during the annual 11.11 sales— she missed her flight.
According to the viral video posted on Weibo, the young woman catching her flight at Shanghai Airport on Nov 11 had apparently “lost track of time” while online shopping to the point that she “missed the boarding announcement”.
Once the young woman “came to her senses”, she then realised that she needed to get on the flight but the plane had already taken off.
In the video, the woman was seen crying on the airport floor but thankfully, her situation turned around for the better and she managed to change her flight without a hitch.
The lesson to learn is while it is understandably exciting to discover a good sale, there is always a time and place to scroll through these bargains.
