All SAINS tenders should be awarded to locals to boost jobs and economic growth in Negeri Sembilan, says Menteri Besar Aminuddin Harun.
SEREMBAN: All tenders by Syarikat Air Negeri Sembilan Sdn Bhd (SAINS) should be awarded to locals, said Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun.
He said this is an important measure to ensure that job opportunities and economic benefits are enjoyed by the local community.
“At the SAINS tender board meeting yesterday, I stressed that tender approvals must be given to Malaysian citizens.
“The Negeri Sembilan government will continue to ensure that every policy and decision made is guided by the interests of the people and supports inclusive and competitive economic growth,” he said in a Facebook post today.
He added that the state government remains open to collaboration with all parties to strengthen trade networks and expand economic opportunities, including among Muslim entrepreneurs in Negeri Sembilan.
Aminuddin, who is also Port Dickson MP, said the proposed strategic collaboration between the state government and the Negeri Sembilan branch of the Malaysian Islamic Chamber of Commerce would help strengthen the entrepreneurship agenda based on Islamic values and sustainable development. – Bernama
