Authorities are investigating a robbery involving an elderly woman in Perak, with two suspects believed to have fled in a car using a fake registration number.
PETALING JAYA: Police are searching for two individuals suspected of being involved in a robbery in Lenggong, Perak, on Tuesday (July 21) morning.
The incident, which occurred at about 5.10am, involved a woman in her 80s who was living alone, according to Gerik district police chief Supt Abdul Samad Othman, as reported by Harian Metro.
A Facebook post detailing the incident showed the suspected robbers fleeing the scene in a black car. Abdul Samad said the vehicle’s registration number is believed to be fake.
He also confirmed that police are continuing their investigations into the incident.
Videos attached to the viral Facebook post allegedly showed one of the suspects kicking the elderly victim.
The victim was reported to have sustained injuries and suffered severe emotional distress as a result of the robbery.
