Malaysian wife shocked by RM850 Arsenal jersey, sparking hilarious netizen roasts over price and 0 UCL trophies. Viral Threads post goes viral.
A Malaysian woman has sent netizens into fits of laughter after discovering the actual price of her husband’s beloved Arsenal football jersey — a far cry from the “cheap” he had claimed all along.
In a viral Threads post by @ezaty.mdz, the woman shared how her husband is an avid jersey collector and has always reassured her that his purchases didn’t cost much.
However, her perception changed instantly when a parcel arrived at their home and she decided to open it herself.
Inside was an Arsenal jersey — with the price tag still attached.
RM850.
“My husband loves buying jerseys. All this while, he’s been telling me they’re cheap. But today his parcel arrived, and I opened it — and there was a price tag inside.
“Wow. To all the men who are into jerseys, is that price for real? If it is, I’m now wondering how much all the other jerseys cost,” she wrote.
The post quickly blew up, amassing over 3,800 likes and more than 1,300 comments, as Malaysians rushed to the comments section with jokes, memes, and playful digs.
Many netizens roasted the husband relentlessly, with some suggesting he may have been scammed, while others couldn’t resist taking a jab at Arsenal itself.
One user called mimoxxeus commented: “The RM850 was just the price tag — it hadn’t been negotiated yet. After bargaining, you usually get around RM10–30 off the price.”
“As a jersey collector myself, RM850 for a replica jersey? Serious la? If he really pay RM850, I worry he kena scam,” macalisthur wrote.
Meanwhile afiq.khan took a jibe, saying: “Feel sad for your husband — RM850, but they have zero UCL cups.”
