The Ministry of Communications must be more agile and resilient to navigate 2026’s risks and uncertainty, says its secretary-general.
KUALA LUMPUR: The Ministry of Communications must be more agile, resilient and forward-looking to navigate the risks and uncertainty of 2026.
Its secretary-general, Datuk Abdul Halim Hamzah, said the coming year would require the ministry to be not only prepared but also possess these qualities.
He expressed hope that 2026 would bring renewed strength, optimism and more meaningful achievements for the organisation, nation and people.
“Happy New Year 2026. May our steps at the Ministry of Communications always be guided by wisdom and courage,” he said in a New Year video message.
Reflecting on 2025, Abdul Halim said the year had tested the government’s ability to adapt to an increasingly complex landscape.
He noted that the challenges spanned multiple dimensions including communication, technology, the economy, social cohesion, security and human development. – Bernama
