Penang Pakatan Harapan instructs subcommittees to meet in August as part of efforts to prepare for the next general election
GEORGE TOWN: All Penang Pakatan Harapan (PH) subcommittees have been instructed to convene meetings and present their progress reports in early August as part of preparations for the next general election, says its chairman, Chow Kon Yeow.
He said the coalition would review and analyse various aspects to address weaknesses and build on its strengths.
“We welcome the views and advice that can help us improve any weaknesses, strengthen our advantages and reorganise our strategies so that we remain the voters’ choice,” he told a press conference at Komtar here today.
Meanwhile, Chow, who is also Penang Chief Minister, said the Unity Government in the state remained stable, with cooperation among the component parties continuing smoothly without any issues.
“So far, there are no issues in working together. Everything remains status quo, no party is initiating any new directional decision,” he said.
In the 2023 Penang state election, PH and Barisan Nasional (BN) formed the Unity Government after winning 29 of the 40 seats contested, with DAP securing all 19 seats it contested, PKR seven, Amanah one and BN two.
