PNB announces a RM10.4 billion income distribution for ASB, its highest annual payout, benefiting 11.4 million unitholders for FY2025.
KUALA LUMPUR: Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB) has declared a 5.75 sen per unit income distribution for Amanah Saham Bumiputera (ASB) for the financial year ending December 31, 2025.
The total payout amounts to RM10.4 billion, which PNB states is the highest annual distribution since the fund’s inception.
This distribution will benefit 11.4 million ASB unitholders.
PNB group chairman Raja Tan Sri Arshad Raja Tun Uda said this brings ASB’s cumulative income distribution to RM206.7 billion.
“We are aware of the broader challenge of insufficient savings and the need to cultivate stronger savings habits among Malaysians,” he said.
ASB sustained its dividend payout compared to 2024, with a competitive spread of 346 basis points above its benchmark.
ASNB distributed a total dividend of RM15.3 billion across all its funds in 2025, the highest ever annual total.
This brings total distributions since inception to RM279 billion.
The group’s asset under management (AUM) grew 4.5% to RM364 billion.
President and group chief executive Datuk Abdul Rahman Ahmad said they are on track towards a target of achieving RM400 billion AUM by 2027.
ASNB’s unique account holders remain steady at 13 million, with 560,000 new accounts added this year.
For 2026, PNB will focus on growing savings via its #KitaGenerasiLabur campaign and digital initiatives.
The group remains cautious on the 2026 investment outlook due to global market volatility and uncertainty.
Units reinvested from the income distribution will be credited into unitholders’ accounts on January 1, 2026.
ASB transactions will be suspended from December 27 to 31, 2025, resuming online on January 1. – Bernama
