M’sian husband gives wife a dining table as gift, friend mocks the table

Her friend commented that the dining table table her husband purchased looked like a restaurant table.

A Malaysian woman recently found herself on the receiving end of a snarky comment from a friend after sharing a thoughtful gift from her husband.

In a post on Threads, nfanisss revealed that her husband had gifted her a dining table to celebrate nearly a year of marriage. She shared a photo of the minimalist, brown dining table, excited to show it off.

Instead of a kind comment, her friend quipped,
“It looks like a restaurant table.”

nfanisss admitted that, being pregnant, she felt sensitive and hurt by the remark.

The post quickly drew reactions from netizens, many criticizing the friend’s snarky behavior.

One suggested a witty comeback:”Just reply, ‘vibe cafe because I can cook like cafe menu items’.”

Another warned about negative influences in friendships:
“A woman bringing another woman down, classic. Cut ties, don’t let a ‘friend’s’ instigation ruin your own household. She isn’t your friend.”

A third commenter added a humorous take:
“Question: does she have a husband? If not, she’s bitter. If yes, her husband doesn’t function. Byeeeeee”
