Woman’s gesture of feeding husband driving irks netizens over safety issues

A viral video of a wife feeding her husband while he was driving draws criticism online, with netizens highlighting road safety concerns.

WHILE it is sweet to show care for one’s spouse, especially when running errands, it should not come at the cost of everyone’s safety.

A wife’s loving gesture towards her husband recently drew backlash after a viral video showed her feeding him while he was driving.

The seemingly innocent act sparked anger online, mainly because she was feeding her husband rice while he was on the way to work.

In the video posted on Threads, the woman was also seen not wearing a seatbelt.

She explained that her husband was running late for work after dropping off their children, which was why she decided to buy food for him and feed him while they were stuck in traffic.

Netizens were quick to criticise the act, stressing the importance of safety first, especially in a moving vehicle.

“Why couldn’t the wife drive while the husband eats his meal properly in the passenger seat? Wouldn’t that be safer and easier?” one user questioned.

“Sweet? No. Dangerous? Yes,” another remarked.

“I don’t mind you feeding your husband in the car, but please wear a seatbelt. What if your husband chokes on his food?” said another.

“Maybe you should pack a simpler meal for your husband, like curry puffs or a sandwich. Eating rice in the car like this looks too troublesome,” another suggested.
