Special Aidilfitri release blends ska and reggae with Malaysia’s independent music scene.
THE Malaysian ska collective, Kuala Lumpur Ska Syndicate has released a new festive single titled Kita Di Aidilfitri in conjunction with Aidilfitri 2026.
The track is performed through a special collaborative lineup known as The Raya Syndicate, bringing together musicians from several Malaysian bands and projects to celebrate the spirit of Hari Raya through music.
Energetic ska meets festive spirit
Blending the upbeat groove of ska with reggae influences, Kita Di Aidilfitri presents a festive sound rooted in Malaysia’s local music culture.
The track aims to capture the sense of togetherness associated with Aidilfitri while introducing ska music to a wider generation of listeners.
The Raya Syndicate features a lineup of musicians including vocalist Leaism, guitarist Deo from Skunjass, bassist Gfat of Meet Uncle Hussain and keyboardist Edy from Dub Essentials.
They are joined by Karim from The GoodThings on timbales and toy instruments, Mojo Band drummer Shah, horn player Izz from Budak Nakal Hujung Simpang, as well as backing vocalists Widy from Gerhana Ska Cinta and Eija from Anugerah.
