Mother withdraws motion after receiving son’s autopsy report

The mother of deceased UTM cadet Syamsul Haris withdraws her court motion after finally obtaining the first autopsy and medical reports from authorities.

SHAH ALAM: The High Court today allowed the mother of a deceased UTM cadet to withdraw her legal motion seeking her son’s first autopsy report.

Judge Datuk Bhupindar Singh Gurcharan Singh Preet granted the application after being informed the documents had been received.

Lawyer Aiman Haziq Saiful Kamal said his client, Ummu Haiman Bee Daulatgun, 46, received the autopsy and first medical report on December 30, 2025.

“The reports were received from the prosecution and also from the Bukit Tinggi Hospital, Johor,” he said during the case mention.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Parvin Hameedah Natchiar, representing the prosecution, did not object to the withdrawal application.

Syamsul Haris, a 22-year-old UTM PALAPES trainee, died at Kota Tinggi Hospital on July 28, 2025.

His death followed training at the Army Combat Training Centre in Ulu Tiram and was initially classified as a sudden death.
