A 15-year-old boy in Gombak was arrested for allegedly threatening a schoolmate with a machete during a video call and demanding money.
KUALA LUMPUR: Police have arrested a 15-year-old boy for allegedly making death threats to a schoolmate.
Gombak police chief ACP Noor Ariffin Mohamad Nasir said the teenager was detained after a report was lodged by the 14-year-old victim’s father.
Investigations revealed the Form Three student had made a video call to the victim demanding money. He is believed to have brandished a machete while making the threats.
The case is being investigated under Section 506 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation. The suspect has been released on police bail.
