Malaysians in Jordan and Bahrain urged to stay safe amid tensions

Malaysian embassies in Jordan and Bahrain advise citizens to shelter in place and follow official updates following Israeli airstrikes on Iran.

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian embassies in Jordan and Bahrain have issued urgent safety advisories to citizens following recent Israeli airstrikes on Iran.

The embassy in Amman, Jordan, advised Malaysians to remain calm and take shelter in safe locations.

It urged them to avoid military facilities and any falling debris while closely monitoring official sources for updates.

For assistance, citizens can contact the embassy via email at [email protected] or by phone.

Separately, the Malaysian Embassy in Manama issued similar guidance for those in Bahrain.

It advised Malaysians residing in or visiting the country to stay indoors, away from windows, and follow official Bahraini government statements.

The embassy in Mahooz is open to any Malaysians seeking shelter and can be contacted for emergencies.

“Please exercise caution, follow the guidance of local authorities, and refrain from spreading unverified information,” the embassy stated in a Facebook post.

For consular assistance in Bahrain, contact +973 3899 0749 or email [email protected].

Both embassies confirmed they are closely monitoring the evolving security situation.
