Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi says FGV’s role in Felda’s ecosystem and settler welfare is crucial, requiring strong governance and cooperation.

KUALA LUMPUR: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has affirmed that FGV Holdings Bhd will continue to be strengthened as a sustainable and progressive institution.

He stated that FGV serves as a catalyst for the success of both current and future generations of Felda settlers.

“FGV plays a highly significant role in the development ecosystem of the Federal Land Development Authority (Felda) and in the welfare of settlers,” Ahmad Zahid said in a Facebook post.

The Rural and Regional Development Minister emphasised that these efforts require the commitment of all involved parties.

He stressed that close cooperation, strong governance, and a results-focused strategic approach must be reinforced.

This is to ensure every decision delivers real value to the people, he added.

Earlier, Ahmad Zahid visited the FGV headquarters to observe current developments and understand the challenges faced.

The visit also aimed to review strategic plans to ensure the institution remains strong and competitive.

He said this is vital for FGV to continue benefiting settlers and the national economy.
