Flood evacuee numbers fall in Johor, Pahang

Flood evacuee numbers in Johor and Pahang have decreased, while the situation in Melaka remains unchanged as of 4 pm today.

KUALA LUMPUR: The number of flood evacuees in Johor and Pahang has dropped, while the situation in Melaka remains unchanged as of 4 pm today.

In Johor, 82 evacuees from 26 families remain at two relief centres this afternoon.

This is a decrease from 172 people from 58 families this morning after five relief centres closed from 2 pm.

The remaining centres are Balai Raya Kampung Batu Badak and Dewan Serbaguna Kampung Tasek.

In Pahang, 81 evacuees from 21 families are still sheltered at Balai Raya Kampung Setajam.

This is a slight drop from 84 people from 23 families this morning.

Meanwhile, the situation in Melaka is unchanged.

In Jasin, 36 people from eight families are still being housed at Sekolah Kebangsaan Parit Penghulu.
