Salman Khan Shooting: Bike sellers detained, case transferred

MUMBAI: Mumbai Police have detained two people who sold the motorcycle used by the alleged shooters in the attack on Salman Khan’s Bandra residence.

Due to the seriousness of the threat and its resemblance to a previous attempt on Khan’s life, the case has been transferred to the city’s elite crime branch.

Bandra police initially registered the case but have handed it over for a more in-depth investigation.

Additionally, security footage captured the suspects fleeing on a motorcycle.

Tracing the bike back to its owner in Panvel led police to the sellers.

As reported by Times of India, the owner claims innocence and has no contact with the buyers, investigators now believe the attack was meticulously planned.

The shooter, Vishal Rahul, is allegedly also linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang through another gangster, Rohit Godara.

Moreover, Anmol Bishnoi, the incarcerated brother of Lawrence Bishnoi, took credit for it on social media and referred to it as just a “trailer.”

One of the two men seen on CCTV firing shots outside Bollywood actor’s Mumbai home is a wanted gangster from Haryana’s Gurugram, according to India Today.

Vishal, a school dropout with a criminal history in Haryana, is further suspected of prior killings and robberies.
