Paramount Property’s inaugural Paramount Cup 2025 delivered four thrilling days of world-class pickleball at PLAYA Racquet Club @ PARC Subang, drawing over 700 players and hundreds of fans. Featuring 17 categories and a record RM112,500 prize pool, the event marked a major milestone in Malaysia’s sporting calendar and celebrated the grand opening of the country’s first purpose-built pickleball hub.
Top international names such as Vanshik Kapadia and Tejas Mahajan from India, Kyle Stoker, Nancy Riley, and Josh Chia from Australia, Roman Estareja and Jas Almaguer from the United States, and Taiwan’s Hsieh Yu-Chieh competed alongside Malaysia’s rising talents, who impressed against the region’s best.
India’s Tejas Mahajan clinched the Open 19+ Men’s Singles title, with Malaysia’s Syabil Shaharudin finishing runner-up. In the Open 19+ Men’s Doubles, Kapadia and Mahajan triumphed, while local duo Khoo Er Yang and Syabil came second. Taiwan’s Hsieh Yu-Chieh and Chang Maggie took the Open 19+ Women’s Doubles crown, as Malaysia’s Delia Arnold and Sieu Ee Toi secured third place.
The 45+ divisions highlighted experience and precision, with Indonesia’s Edy Kurniawan and Gusti Ngurah Putra Haribawa winning the Men’s Doubles, while Malaysia’s Keevan Raj and Azizul Azhar finished second. In the Mixed Doubles 45+, Gusti Ngurah and Singapore’s Pini Lee claimed gold, ahead of Malaysia’s Danny Tan and Connie Chan.
The tournament’s finale saw Taiwan’s Hsieh Yu-Chieh and India’s Vanshik Kapadia lift the Open 19+ Mixed Doubles title after a thrilling contest. Malaysia’s Colin Wong and the USA’s Jas Almaguer took third, symbolising both international collaboration and homegrown pride.
Paramount Property CEO Chee Siew Pin said the tournament “surpassed all expectations,” praising Malaysian players’ performance and the event’s community spirit. PLAYA Racquet Club Director Brian Choo added that the energy “was electric from start to finish,” showcasing the sport’s growing appeal in Malaysia.
