Backstreet Boys Kevin Richardson cryptic tweet about losing a friend to QAnon sparked rumours of a rift between himself and pro-Trump bandmate, Brian Littrell.
A few days back, Littrell announced that he was joining the right-wing social media platform Parler in the wake of Donald Trump being banned from Twitter.
Possibly throwing some shade, Richardson shared a Cosmopolitan article titles ‘I Lost a Best Friend to QAnon’ with the caption, ‘Interesting read.’
The article details a first-hand account of losing a friend due to the conspiracy theory-driven beliefs of a QAnon member.
Richardson also shared another article titled ‘The Unlikely Connection Between Wellness Influencers and the Pro-Trump rioters’ with the caption, ‘Another interesting read.’
The tweets points to a possible rift between the bandmates who are also cousins. Their relationship has been strained for a long time seeing that Littrell has been a Trump supporter for many years.
Once, Littrell even voiced his support for the band to perform at Trump’s inauguration in 2017. Littrell admitted that the Inaugural Committee approached the band but things didn’t work out.
“Hollywood needs to chill out, all right? You're talking about the commander-in-chief, right? We're talking about respect,” Littrell told TMZ.
