IN the United States, a Reddit user recently shared photographs of a Tesla Cybertruck colliding with a Toyota Corolla.

On December 28, 2023, an accident happened on Skyline Boulevard in California.

According to the images uploaded by Reddit user “boddhya,“ the Cybertruck severely damaged the Corolla, prompting concerns about the truck’s safety.

Nevertheless, The California Highway Patrol acknowledged the occurrence and blamed it on the Corolla’s driver’s recklessness.

However, this is its first recorded collision involving a Cybertruck since the model’s introduction in November 2023.

Nevertheless, experts have worried that the Cybertruck’s design may endanger other road users.

But according to Adrian Lund, past president of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), the problem is with the truck’s design.

“The big problem there is if they really make the skin of the vehicle very stiff by using thick stainless steel, then when people hit their heads on it, it’s going to cause more damage to them,“ Lund was quoted as saying by Reuters.

Though, not long ago, Tesla CEO Elon Musk assured the public that the car was safe.

He said in a post on X, “Yes, we are highly confident that Cybertruck will be much safer per mile than other trucks, both for occupants and pedestrians.”
