Donald Trump denies ever visiting Jeffrey Epstein’s island, threatens to sue comedian Trevor Noah for making “false and defamatory” claims.
WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump (pic) has denied ever visiting the late financier Jeffrey Epstein’s private island.
He issued the denial on his Truth Social platform in response to a joke made by Grammy Awards host Trevor Noah.
“Noah said, INCORRECTLY about me, that Donald Trump and Bill Clinton spent time on Epstein Island. WRONG!!! I cant speak for Bill, but I have never been to Epstein Island, nor anywhere close,” Trump stated.
He called Noah a “total loser” who needed to “get his facts straight.”
Trump threatened legal action against the comedian, saying he would “have some fun” with him.
“It looks like Ill be sending my lawyers to sue this poor, pathetic, talentless, dope of an M.C. … Get ready Noah, I’m going to have some fun with you!” he added.
The remarks follow the recent release of millions of files related to the Epstein case by US authorities.
US Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche announced the completion of the document release on January 30.
The latest disclosure brings the total volume of released data to over 3.5 million files.
The documents mention numerous high-profile figures, including Trump, Elon Musk, Bill Gates, and Bill Clinton. – Bernama-Sputnik/RIA Novosti
