Viral footage captured the moment a motorcyclist fell off his bike after a group of riders allegedly attempted to avoid police near a Penang toll booth.
A motorcyclist was seen falling off his bike near a toll booth during what appeared to be an alleged attempt to evade authorities, according to a viral dashcam footage circulating online.
The incident is believed to have taken place near the Sungai Dua Toll Plaza in Butterworth, Penang.
In footage shared on Threads, several motorcyclists could be seen riding along the left side of the toll lane despite signage stating that the lane was designated for lorries only.
The first motorcyclist suddenly braked, causing the rider behind him to lose control and fall off his bike.

The group was then seen making abrupt U-turns in what appeared to be a hasty attempt to leave the toll area instead of proceeding through the booth.
Seconds later, a policeman could be seen calmly walking towards the toll lane.

The clip has since triggered heated reactions online, with many netizens criticising reckless riding behaviour and alleged attempts to avoid enforcement officers.
One user wrote: “This group only causes trouble for others. They don’t pay tolls but still insist on using the lane.”
Another motorcyclist said even those who ride daily for work disliked such behaviour, claiming it endangered other road users.

“Even I, as someone who rides to work, can’t stand people like this. If you’re riding behind them, you have to be extra careful. They’ll suddenly slam on the brakes when they spot a roadblock ahead. It’s seriously troublesome and dangerous for everyone else on the road,” the commenter said.
A third commenter claimed that some riders spent thousands modifying their motorcycles but neglected essentials such as licences, road tax and insurance. The user added that many would flee or even ride against traffic to avoid roadblocks out of fear that their motorcycles would be seized.
