Main suspect in woman’s body in bag case remanded for seven days

The main suspect in the case of a woman’s body found in a bag in Rembau has been remanded for seven days as police investigate under murder charges.

SEREMBAN: The main suspect in the case of a woman’s body discovered in a bag buried in a house in Kampung Batu 4, Pedas, Rembau has been remanded for seven days starting today.

Negeri Sembilan deputy police chief SAC Muhammad Idzam Jaafar said the remand order was issued by Magistrate Nurul Farha Sulaiman at the Magistrate’s Court here.

The 51-year-old suspect, represented by lawyer Sean Dudley, was brought from the Rembau district police headquarters.

Muhammad Idzam said the case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

He previously reported the man was arrested in the Genting Sempah area less than 24 hours after the first suspect’s arrest in Melaka yesterday evening.

The 41-year-old male suspect has been remanded until Thursday.

The true identity of the woman’s body has yet to be identified as the victim’s body was already decomposed.

It is believed the victim had been dead for more than three days. – Bernama
