Kejayaan Sukan SEA 2025 jadi pemangkin persiapan atlet Malaysia

PM Anwar Ibrahim mahu kejayaan kontinjen Malaysia di Sukan SEA 2025 jadi pemangkin persiapan untuk temasya sukan lain dan Sukan SEA 2027.

KUALA LUMPUR: Pencapaian Kontinjen Malaysia di Sukan SEA Thailand wajar dijadikan pemangkin untuk memperkukuh persiapan menghadapi temasya sukan lain.

Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim berkata ia bagi memastikan negara kekal berdaya saing serta disegani di peringkat serantau dan antarabangsa.

Beliau merakamkan ucapan tahniah dan penghargaan kepada seluruh atlet, jurulatih serta pegawai pasukan atas disiplin, pengorbanan dan semangat juang mereka.

“Kejayaan ini adalah hasil disiplin yang tinggi, pengorbanan yang berterusan serta semangat juang para atlet, jurulatih dan pegawai pasukan yang tidak pernah luntur dalam mengharumkan nama negara di persada serantau,” katanya dalam catatan di Facebook.

Anwar berkata persiapan Malaysia sebagai tuan rumah Sukan SEA 2027 akan dilaksana secara menyeluruh, terancang serta berwibawa.

Persiapan itu bukan sahaja dari sudut prasarana dan penganjuran tetapi juga dalam membina ekosistem sukan yang mampan.

Ia juga bertujuan melahirkan bakat berkelas dunia.

Anwar turut menegaskan sukan merupakan wadah penyatuan rakyat merentasi kaum, wilayah dan latar belakang.

“Inilah kekuatan sebenar Malaysia yang mesti terus dipelihara dan diperkasa,” katanya.

Temasya Sukan SEA 2025 melabuhkan tirai secara rasmi pada Sabtu lepas.

Malaysia menduduki tempat keempat selepas mengutip 57 pingat emas, 57 perak dan 117 gangsa.

Tuan rumah Thailand mengungguli carta dengan 233 emas, 154 perak serta 112 gangsa.
