KUALA LUMPUR: Samaiden Group Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Samaiden Sdn Bhd (SSB), has been selected to develop a 13.42 megawatts (MW) solar power plant.
SBB, in collaboration with Premier Supreme Sdn Bhd, as a consortium, was also selected to develop a 29.90 MW solar power plant, said Samaiden Group in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today.
SSB won the projects under the Energy Commission’s Corporate Green Power Programme (CGPP) through a bidding exercise.
It said barring any unforeseen circumstances, the projects are expected to contribute positively towards the future earnings of the Samaiden group of companies.
Meanwhile, in a separate filing, Samaiden Group said as the CGPP progresses, it is poised to commence its operations in alignment with the targeted commercial operation date in 2025.
“This project is not just a step towards achieving Samaiden’s vision for a sustainable future which is embedded in their five-year strategic roadmap but is also a reflection of Malaysia’s growing commitment to combating climate change and bolstering the utilisation of green energy,” it said. - Bernama
