BN’s Samasuddin Yusop vows to create business platforms and skills training for women entrepreneurs if elected in Sabah state election.
TAWAU: Barisan Nasional candidate Samasuddin Yusop has pledged to focus on women’s economic empowerment if elected in the Tanjung Batu state constituency.
He said his efforts would concentrate on providing business networking platforms and strengthening skills development among young women.
“Many women here are home-based entrepreneurs, and they have requested assistance with marketing,” he told Bernama at the Titik Temu Pasir Putih Block C programme.

Samasuddin said his team would assess women voters’ needs and bring relevant agencies to guide them from production to digital marketing.
Female youth in the constituency also expressed interest in greater access to Technical and Vocational Education and Training during the Jelajah BN programme.
The candidate added he would focus on creating job opportunities for young people if given the mandate by Tanjung Batu voters.
Early voting for the Sabah state election is scheduled for November 25, with polling day on November 29.
Samasuddin faces four other candidates for the Tanjung Batu seat, which has 27,428 registered voters. – Bernama
