Sabah’s top leaders cast votes in state election by noon

GRS chairman Hajiji Noor, BN’s Bung Moktar and other party leaders complete voting in Sabah state election as polling continues.

KOTA KINABALU: All major party leaders contesting in Sabah’s 17th state election had completed voting by noon on Saturday.

Gabungan Rakyat Sabah chairman Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor cast his ballot at SK Serusup in Tuaran at 11.42 am while contesting the Sulaman seat.

Sabah Barisan Nasional chairman Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin voted at SK Bukit Garam in Kinabatangan at 11.20 am for the Lamag seat.

Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah president Datuk Seri Arthur Joseph Kurup voted at Sekolah Pekan Ansip in Sook as the BN candidate for that constituency.

Parti Bersatu Sabah acting president Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam cast his ballot at SMK Kundasang while contesting the Kundasang seat.

Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah president Datuk Dr Mohd Arifin Mohd Arif voted at SMK Membakut 2 in Kimanis for the Membakut seat.

Warisan president Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal completed voting at SK Bubul in Semporna while contesting the Senallang seat.

Sabah DAP chairman Phoong Jin Zhe voted at SMK Tinggi Kota Kinabalu for the Likas constituency.

Sabah PKR deputy chairman Datuk Peto Galim cast his ballot at SK Kokol in Manggatal while contesting the Inanam seat.

Three federal deputy ministers also completed their voting duties across different constituencies.

Deputy Plantation and Commodities Minister Datuk Chan Foong Hin voted at SK Bahang in Penampang for Tanjung Aru seat.

Deputy Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Datuk Mohammad Yusof Apdal cast his ballot at SMK Terusan in Lahad Datu for Silam seat.

Deputy Foreign Minister Datuk Mohamad Alamin voted at SK Our Lady in Papar while contesting the Bongawan seat.
