A week after Bung Moktar’s death, Zizie Ezette shares her journey of healing, acceptance, and finding moments of happiness
ACCEPTING the loss and moving forward is the next chapter for Zizie Ezette, widow of the late Sabah Barisan Nasional chief, Bung Moktar Radin.
Marking seven days since his passing on December 5, the actress opened up about life without her beloved husband and father of her five children in an Instagram story.
Sharing a black-and-white photo of herself with Bung Moktar, Zizie wrote that her heart feels “a little lighter” as she comes to terms with his loss.
“It’s been seven days since you left. And today… I find myself smiling a little more, laughing a little louder. My heart feels a little lighter. Not because the love has faded, but because I’m slowly accepting that you’re really gone… and I want you to see me a little happier,” she said in the post.
Marking the seventh-day tahlil prayers yesterday, Zizie posted this, saying she will strive to be stronger for her late husband, as he would not have wanted to see her sad.
“Even though part of me feels guilty for any moment of happiness, I also know you would be the first to tell me to keep living, laughing, and moving forward,” she added.
The public also noted that Zizie had removed all her Instagram posts four days ago, reflecting her mourning and grief after her husband’s passing.
Bung Moktar, 66, died at a private hospital in Kota Kinabalu at 1:46am last Friday and was buried at Kampung Likas Cemetery.
The Kinabatangan MP had also retained the Lamag seat in the 17th Sabah state election on November 29.
