A 23-year-old Malaysian woman shared on the TwtSecretsMY Twitter page how alone she feels as a result of her boyfriend—the father of the child—refusing to marry her and to make matters worse, her family has abandoned her.
“I haven’t lived with my family since earlier this year,“ she revealed.
She expressed, “Since earlier this year, I haven’t lived with my family. I live with my future in laws. I am pregnant and the baby is almost 6 months along. Actually, my parents are against me since they’ve kept blaming me because I got pregnant.”
She clarified that she had asked her boyfriend to initiate their marriage after she became pregnant, but he had become upset at her request because marriage is an expensive endeavour.
She then proposed that since she was concerned about her child’s future in the event that she ended up becoming a single mother, she could pay for their marriage and that they divide the remaining expenses equally for the engagement and wedding.
“I simply consider my daughter. That is all. She needs the love of a father. I am aware of the circumstances in which we lack a father’s love.”
“Although I would really like to be a single mother, I am unable to do so. Although I appreciate his efforts, raising a child can be difficult at times”, she remarked.
It turns out, shockingly, that her boyfriend still holds onto images of his ex-girlfriend in her nude on his phone, indicating that he hasn’t moved on from the past.
She went on to say that she feels compelled to leave the baby with her boyfriend before fleeing since he could afford to look after it.
“He preserved his ex’s nude photos while I was pregnant; I can still clearly recall that.” I often ask myself, “Why did I let this guy love me when he can’t move on from his past?”
She added, “I’m exhausted, I promise. I apologize sometimes when I’m upset with him. I think it was wrong of me to become upset with him.”
She mentioned that she had no way out of this difficult situation and that her family had abandoned her.
