MetMalaysia warns of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in several areas of Sabah and Sarawak until 8 pm today.
KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning for thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in parts of Sarawak and Sabah.
The adverse weather is forecast to persist until 8 pm today.
In Sarawak, the affected areas include Kuching, Serian, and the Samarahan and Asajaya districts.
The warning also covers several regions in Sabah.
These are the interior areas of Sipitang and Beaufort, the west coast districts of Ranau and Kota Belud, and the Tawau areas of Tawau and Kunak.
The Sandakan areas of Telupid and Beluran, as well as Kudat’s Kota Marudu, are also affected.
