BN’s Mohamad Alamin cites RM126 million road project and school upgrades as key achievements in Bongawan and Membakut constituencies
BONGAWAN: Barisan Nasional has delivered significant development in the Bongawan and Membakut state constituencies through numerous infrastructure projects.
Deputy Foreign Minister Datuk Mohamad Alamin, BN’s candidate for Bongawan, said the party consistently addressed public concerns regarding roads and dilapidated schools.
“I have brought so much development to the Kimanis parliamentary constituency, especially in the Bongawan and Membakut state seats,” he stated after nomination proceedings at Dewan Kesenian Islam Membakut.
Mohamad highlighted a RM126 million allocation for Jalan Bukit Mangis, significantly impacting rural residents in Ulu Kimanis, Ulu Bongawan, and Ulu Membakut areas.
“This was something the people had waited for decades,” he added.
The Kimanis MP resolved eight issues concerning dilapidated schools across both constituencies despite holding office for less than five years.
He also emphasised youth development through upgraded sports centres and courts.
Mohamad provides one-off educational assistance to all university-bound students regardless of their socioeconomic background.
In the Sabah election, he faces an eight-cornered contest including former Foreign Minister Tan Sri Anifah Aman representing Gabungan Rakyat Sabah.
Anifah expressed confidence in winning Bongawan based on current support levels.
The veteran politician pledged GRS’s commitment to creating employment opportunities for youth to support their families. – Bernama
